Inside
the Display unit of the wiseDX is a 'teachable' infrared transmitter
called a 'PROGIII' from a Swedish company called GEWA. This
enables the user to access hundreds (up to 240) of infrared items - providing
the user with control over televisions, CD players, door openers, LEGO!
and much, more - using the same switches or joystick that are being used
to drive the powered chair. It will also work with the other environmental
control equipment provided by other companies.
GEWA
have their own utility programme enabling you to copy codes from your
existing hand held remotes into the wiseDX.
The
wiseDX configuration programme is used to setup how you access
these devices. You can give each device a sensible name - which will appear
in the display of the wiseDX.
