The
wiseDX may be suitable for people who can use switches and want
to drive a powered chair in the most effective way that their abilities
allow. They may use a single switch. They may use two or more switches.
They maybe have good control over one or two switches but be able to operate
another switch 'with some effort'.
Such
people may want to operate a communication aid or other equipment with
the same switch or switches through the wiseDX (it has a built
in infrared transmitter). It could be that the wiseDX is only required
as a 'special controls for driving' device and that operating other
equipment with the same switch is not necessary or has not yet been considered.
If such integration was required, it could take place at a later date
once driving skills had been mastered.
